Hair Aftercare & Maintenance

Brush with Care
Proper brushing is essential to prevent tangling and maintain the smoothness of your hair extensions and to prevent snags and heavy tangling. Use a wide-tooth comb, soft bristle brush or a specialized loop brush designed for extensions to brush through your hair after each use & before washing.
Try not to brush your hair when it is wet and as its weakest and instead finger comb product and detangle the hair till it is mostly dry. Start brushing from the ends and gradually work your way up towards the roots. This gentle approach prevents unnecessary pulling and breakage, which can occur if you start brushing from the roots down. -
Store Carefully
To preserve the quality and lifespan of your hair extensions, detangle and store them in the provided satin pouches when not in use. Avoid leaving them exposed to dust or direct sunlight, as this can lead to tangling and dullness over time. By storing them properly, you can maintain their natural shine and keep them looking fresh between uses.

Avoid Heat
While heat styling tools can create beautiful hairstyles, excessive heat can damage hair extensions, just like natural hair. Whenever possible, minimize the use of heat styling tools. When using them, use a heat protectant spray first and opt for low to medium heat settings to reduce the risk of heat damage. Try to air dry or blow-dry the hair on the cool setting between washes.

Minimize Damage
Protect your hair extensions by using a heat protectant spray before any heat styling session. This product adds a protective layer to the hair shaft, reducing the impact of heat and preventing moisture loss. After styling, apply a nourishing serum or oil to hydrate the hair and add shine. This post-styling step helps maintain the softness and manageability of your extensions, prolonging their lifespan.

Wash as Needed
Unlike natural hair, clip-in extensions are not naturally hydrated by your scalp oils and as such, do not require frequent washing. Wash them only when necessary, typically every 10-15 wears, depending on your usage and product buildup to prevent them from drying out and getting frizzy. As a general rule, the less you wash your hair, the longer it will last you.
Use a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner with a focus on hydration. Gently lather the shampoo on the lengths and avoid rubbing or twisting the hair, as this can cause tangling. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends to keep the hair hydrated and smooth. Rinse out with cold water to close the cuticles and lock in moisture.
Pro-tip: Apply a deep conditioning treatment or mask once every couple of washes, when you notice your extensions getting excessively dry or tangled. This will deeply hydrate the ends and make them softer and more manageable to style. Dampen your extensions and apply a generous amount of a sulfate and alcohol-free deep conditioning treatment from the root to the tips, and let it soak in the product for a minimum of 10 minutes or ideally overnight before rinsing off. -
Unclip Before Bed
Remove clip-in extensions before going to bed to prevent tangling and reduce strain on your natural hair. Sleeping with extensions clipped in can cause friction and tension on the roots, leading to tangling and potential breakage. Instead, gently remove the clips and store your extensions properly overnight. This simple practice helps maintain the health and integrity of both your natural hair and the extensions.
By following these care tips regularly, you'll keep your hair extensions looking gorgeous and feeling great for longer. Taking good care of them and handling them gently are essential to make sure they stay in top shape and keep that natural look and feel.
